Our story

Why we started TonXpress

Freight in Ethiopia has long depended on phone calls, brokers and personal networks. Shippers struggled to find available trucks at a fair price, while drivers and transport companies spent days waiting for their next load.

TonXpress was created by Terpion PLC to close that gap with technology: a marketplace where a shipper can post a job in minutes, carriers can bid on work that matches their trucks and routes, and both sides can follow the shipment until it is delivered.

Today the platform brings together shipment requests, carrier bidding and invitations, contracts, payment terms, live tracking, proof of delivery and payment records in one place - built for the way freight actually moves in Ethiopia.
