When you register as an individual driver or a transport company, we collect your name, contact details, driving licence or company registration details, and — for transport companies — information about the account owner. When you use the platform, we collect the jobs you view and bid on, messages with shippers, location updates you send while a shipment is in transit, and documents you upload (such as licences, IDs, and proof of delivery) for identity verification.

We also automatically collect technical information such as your IP address, device information, and how you interact with the platform, to keep the service secure and improve it.

We use your information to operate the platform — matching you with shipment jobs, processing bids and payouts, verifying your identity and documents as required by Ethiopian regulation, sharing your live location with the shipper of a shipment you're carrying while it's in transit, providing customer support, and communicating service updates.

We share the contact and tracking information necessary to complete a job with the shipper you're matched with — this is core to how the marketplace works. We may share information with service providers who help us operate the platform (such as payment processors and cloud hosting), with regulators where required by law, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties for their own marketing purposes.

We retain your account, job history, and tracking information for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward to comply with legal, accounting, and dispute-resolution obligations. Documents submitted for identity verification are retained in line with applicable regulatory requirements.

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit and access controls on our systems. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

You can review and update most of your account information directly from your account settings. You may request a copy of the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, subject to our legal and legitimate business retention needs, by contacting us through the Contact page.

We only collect precise location data from you while you have an active, in-transit shipment, and it is shared with the shipper of that specific shipment for tracking purposes. You can decline to share location, but doing so may prevent you from completing jobs that require live tracking.

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and to remember basic preferences such as your chosen language and theme. We do not use cookies for third-party advertising.

TonXpress Marketplace is intended for use by adults eligible to drive or operate a transport business. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will provide notice through the platform before the changes take effect.
